Here’s part of a post I wrote back in March 2017. I’m honestly not sure how I feel about it now…
“It’s very easy to be cynical about politics and politicians, I’ve certainly been guilty of the that myself. However, when you hear a politician with conviction talk with passion about their party, the country and changing the world for the better, it’s difficult not to be just a little optimistic.
Keir Starmer didn’t need to become an MP - I’m sure it wasn’t for the money. He certainly didn’t need to come to this Indian Restaurant on a cold, windy Thursday evening in March. He spoke about the attack at Westminster the day before, human rights, the future of the Labour Party, opportunity, deprivation, helping others and making a difference for the better.”
